My Students
My school is a Title I school where all students receive free breakfast and lunch. Unfortunately, there are many days that my students come hungry for both knowledge and nourishment. My students are enthusiastic about learning.
My 18 wonderful students come from a very low-income area.
The majority are English Language Learners, and many are homeless. Also, the majority of my class have never been in a school setting. School is a safe haven for many of my students, where they come to learn about the world. I hope to continue feeding their knowledge through this donation.
My Project
Having a large population of homeless students many come to school and are hungry because they don't have food at home, can't afford food, and even circumstances such as being homeless summer will be a long journey for them. By receiving this donation, I hope various food items always available to my students will make a huge impact on their lives. I am hoping to provide Healthy Snacks such as Quaker Chewy Granola Bars, Cheez-It Baked Snack Cheese Crackers, and Fruit snacks, and other items to create a summer treat box. The Toy Assortment will also be a fun little surprise for them to celebrate summer with.
