My students need materials such classroom connector school-to-home folders, flexible seating, book bins and other storage for their learning materials!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are very eager and excited to become second graders! They are students who love hands-on activities and STEM projects in the classroom and learn best when engaged.
This year our second grade class will all be working hard to meet individual and class goals to achieve greatness!
To help meet are goals and make great gains this year, our classroom needs some materials to get us started! Our classroom contains thirty unique students, including English language learners and special education students!
Our school is a Title I elementary school. Many of my students receive free or reduced price lunch, and the students would benefit from extra materials to guide instruction and learning!
My Project
The resources are meant to make students feel at home and ready to learn. The classroom connector folders are a great way to keep parents involved with their students' learning! The storage containers will be used to help students keep learning materials such as folders, books, and pencils more organized and easily accessible.
The resources will provide a way to make learning smooth, fun and engaging for my students!
The flexible seating options will give students and the teacher a smoother transition into small group settings. Currently, students have to bring their own chairs back to small groups, and, at times, this can create a hazardous environment. The bean bag chairs offer a way to encourage students to sit down and pick up a good book! Over all, the materials I am requesting should make students want to come to school ready to learn!
