Our learners come from all over the metro area, and were able to take home Chromebooks to use. My class is generally hands-on STEM/STEAM learning, so we have only been able to use online resources since March 13th.
Learners would love to do something that isn't on the computer, especially to keep their learning going over the summer!
Our learners have enjoyed the year in Exploratory STEM/STEAM class and didn't get to finish out our year. The transition to remote learning has been difficult on all, and we all miss hands-on learning.
I would like give each learner a robot to put together and code as they continue to be at home, and they can bring them back next school year to show them off!
They will be able to think critically and apply robotics and coding skills to their project as they decide how the robot can help around the house (or just keep their minds busy). This project will also fund playing cards for every learner in our school.
