Mrs. E. from NC is requesting reading nooks, desks & storage through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need up to date classroom organizational resources to utilize during and enrich daily instruction in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Each day students in my 4th grade reading class enter the room eager to better themselves. Our class motto states "It Isn't Supposed to be Easy," and my students pride themselves in working through each challenge they face.
99.2% of scholars enrolled at our elementary school qualify for free or reduced lunch.
Students come from a diverse set of backgrounds and many of my students come from bi-lingual homes.
With a diverse group of students, comes a diverse group of learners. Many of my students have limited help at home, and it is my priority to make my classroom a place of refuge, learning, and growth.
My students deserve more! Through the funding of this project, my students will enter an organized and engaging classroom complete with structured work spaces and a homey feel.
This project requests funding for classroom organization materials to keep our work spaces engaging and clutter free.
My rural North Carolina classroom is limited in terms of classroom materials and resources. With no teacher funding for classroom purchases, it is a struggle to make my room a place of refuge for my students. The materials my students use daily, date back over twenty years, making learning an outdated and sometimes challenging task that does not fit the needs of my 4th grade scholars.
If funded, my students will engage with these resources on a daily basis and be welcomed into a classroom that supports their learning, not hinders it. Students will use the requested organizational bins to create a nest home for their materials and keep their work together and within reach. Students will love new flexible seating options such as the standing table or bench and stools. These seating options will allow students who need seating arrangements outside the typical desk and chair to work in an environment that fits their needs. The bookshelves will allow for students to store their library books in our classroom and within easy access instead of tucked away in their book bags. My students will store their materials in the utility cart, which will allow them to transport materials easily across the classroom or anywhere else our learning takes them.
The requested resources would make an amazing contribution to my classroom environment and will be used for years to come!
