This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are bright, funny and AMAZING!!!! They are innovative thinkers and love learning. They are currently trying to do the best they can with very limited resources during this coronavirsus pandemic. The majority of my students have to complete worksheets because they don't have internet access or technology at home. This makes the distant learning process much harder for my students and their families. I know that receiving classroom supplies/resources will make a huge difference in my students lives.

My Project

I'm a kindergarten teacher in a Title I inner city public school. I have 25 students in my class. My class is currently below grade level in reading and math. All of my students come from low income households. They have very limited resources/supplies at home to enhance their learning. Having limited resources at home is hindering my students learning capabilities. The coronavirus pandemic has made learning from home the new normal for my students/families.

These educational resources and supplies will help improve my students literacy and math skills.

My students will be able to have fun at home while learning important reading and early math skills. These much needed resources will encourage and inspire my students during this coronavirus pandemic.
