My Project

The items that have been requested are not for one reason in particular, but multiple. When students are at school, it is their home away from home. The teachers are who the students will come to when they are angry, sad, excited, overwhelmed, etc. Just like any other person they want a sense of comfort, so why can't we make our classrooms bring a comfort feeling to them as well?

This project isn't only about bringing comfort to the students and classroom, but providing additional math manipulatives that I may need currently or in the future.

I teach 3-5 math so there is a wide variety of math that is being taught throughout a school day. The manipulatives that I currently have are starting to fall apart and have been used numerous times, so we will be in need of new in the next couple of years.

These students have brought me so much joy over the past three years that I want to be able to provide as much as I can for them, but the help would be appreciated since it does take a village.
