Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I like to provide my students with the type of environment where we are a community and a family. Most of the students come from underprivileged homes and get free breakfast and lunch at school. I often provide snacks for them to get their brains going and working hard throughout the day.
My students are always eager to learn, they push themselves toward the goals that we set throughout the year.
They aim to please and often need extra love and attention. When they see and experience success they often push themselves even more.
My Project
The sharpeners are for the students to sharpen their pencils in the morning while preparing for their day of learning. Most students are not prepared at the start of the day and these sharpeners will allow them to get prepared quickly.
The 3 hole puncher and tape dispenser is for the writing center.
The students enjoy using the hole puncher to create books and share them with their classmates.
The accent pieces I use for different incentives. They also put their ID number on some and watch their accent piece move up the wall in the classroom as they learn and grow. They get really excited to move their accent piece and often remind me if I forget.
The tape is to help hang work and accents to tricky walls.
