My Project

In my math classes, I try to bring different activities together as assignments. Around Christmas time, we make a Christmas tree by graphing lines and taping ornaments to them. We also do puzzles that need to be cut out and then taped together in the write way. Different activities like these give the kids different ways to practice so they don't get bored.

We also use a lot of notes, so we have a lot of scrap pieces of paper floating around.

With sticky notes, we don't have to have lose pieces of paper everywhere; the students can stick the note right to their computer, calculator, or assignment.

Teaching middle school and high students, I've found that food and snacks are a great motivator. Right now, I buy candy to reward students, but it would be nice to have snacks that aren't candy to reward students. I think that the students and parents will appreciate that a lot.
