This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My children are worthy! Smiles are daily, regardless of how they slept. Shoes may be on the wrong feet, but they are here and ready to eat. They are willing to learn and adore hands-on experiences. My children appreciate engaging moments and the opportunity to move while learning. They crave education at an ever-growing speed. My babies come from an area where tough love is the way to go and sometimes they come in wearing that tough love right alongside their eagerness to learn smile. I do my best to ensure they are taken care of as my job is to advocate for each of them.
I would gladly give them all the shirt off my back and I believe they know that about me.
Every day is a clean slate here. I do not hold onto the negative as life is too short and I instill that into them as well. I praise the positive and I work hard with families and staff to ensure our youth make the best choices and understand why we make them. My children are just that, my children, year after year!
My Project
This year has been challenging with teaching 30 students and 6 of those being at home learners. It has been a different, but nevertheless, teaching is still a joy! The mission in today's project is to get plenty of holiday treats and trinkets into the classroom.
I am planning a holiday spectacular with hot cocoa, a movie, pajamas and of course gifts and activities!
This project is requesting the candy, and the class friendly toys that can go home in the student gift bags. Students will get a slime, fidget toys and more if this project is funded. This will surely make up for the past school year where Christmas was not done in class.
