My students are some of the hardest-working people you will ever meet. They are in high school and have special needs. Each of my students consistently amazes me by finding ways to overcome their learning barriers in order to succeed in their schooling. They truly enjoy learning and all have ambitions to go to work after high school.
My school is geared towards teaching life and career skills that will help promote the most independent lives possible for my students.
We focus on activities of daily living and a job readiness curriculum.
My Project
I am looking to make this holiday season extra special for my students. I would like to give each student in my school their own personalized pencil case stuffed with a sweet treat and fidget spinner pop-it. I am also looking to get a simple duster for my classroom. Additionally, I am asking for some holiday window clings to put on the windows of my classroom to make it feel more festive.
Although these holiday gifts might seems small, I know that my students are going to go crazy over them.
The fidget spinner pop-its have been a big hit with my sensory basket. I would like each child to have one to bring home to help them during stressful times they might experience outside of the classroom. I will be utilizing the vinyl on my Cricut machine to cut out each child’s name and press it to the pencil cases.
