Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest young minds in the world. I strive daily to become the best teacher that I can be and expose them to as much as I can while I can. However, many of our students come from low-income families. Our school is located in the rural Mississippi Delta. We are a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free lunches.

The holidays are upon us and we know this to be a time of joy and laugher, but for some it's a reminder of their daily struggles.

I would like to provide fun holiday stockings to students to brighten up their holiday. In this project, I have requested some small holiday stockings and fun items such as slime, bracelets, balls, and other things to stuff the stockings with.

I know that this project could bring smiles and joy to a number of my students.
