Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is full of creative students eager to learn. A day in my classroom consists of excitement, engagement and enrichment. Middle school students, though challenging at times, are an interesting group of kids to spend the day with. I look forward to spending time with them in our classroom - their home away from home - and I know they look forward to finding out what we're learning each day!
Although I know my students may struggle with their lives outside the classroom, they find comfort in knowing there’s always a teacher waiting for them that cares more than they know!
Some students may lack intrinsic motivation, and have more responsibilities than simply school. I go the extra mile to make them feel welcome in my classroom, and they know every day that they are not present is a day they are missed! My students make a very deliberate and conscientious effort to arrive at school daily and on time to receive a quality education. As their teacher, I am passionate about their learning! They come together with one goal: success. With their attitudes, perseverance and enthusiasm, I know they will achieve greatness!
My Project
After 18 months of virtual learning, we have finally returned back to the classroom. My middle schoolers have been hard at work, since September and they are truly deserving of some holiday fun! When December roles around, different holiday activities and some gifts will make their school experience that much more memorable.
Each student will receive a holiday bag filled with: gloves, chapsticks, candy, pencils, erasers and a stress ball.
These gift bags will ensure that each student has a gift to open during the holidays.
