My students need a Big Joe Dorm Chair, a bag to hold their books, and a place to read. Our class would also like a small tabletop easel and bins to hold our small group materials.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work for a title 1 school in Charlotte. These students come from all ranges of socioeconomic backgrounds. Our school offers free breakfast and lunch to all or our students due to the huge need. Some kids aren't able to buy all of their supplies. I am very fortunate to be able to have access to supplies for the students so that if a child does come without things they won't have to stress about finding the way to get it.
However, I do have to work with a very strict budget, its no secret that teachers don't get a huge paycheck and do need to ask for help with little extra things that I may not be able to pay with money not already being spent on other supplies.
I definitely am thankful for all the help my past donors have given!
My Project
This will be my first year in 3rd grade, I definitely want my kids to be able to organize and find things in a timely manner. The bins will help with storing folders and materials for small group. The table easel will be perfect to present things to my small groups as well. The totes will be a fun way to show off their creative side and store their take home books.
I am moving from Kindergarten to 3rd grade.
They have way bigger bodies so I really want my kids to be able to share a nice little reading spot with the Big Joe Dorm Chairs where they will be able to feel comfortable and have fun with it as well.
