Help me give my students a podcasting station that includes 4 microphones and a mixer. They will be able to use these materials to create podcasts where they can express everything they learn in our language classes.
This project expired on February 22, 2020.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are engaged with language learning, half of them are immersion students, and the other half are regular language learners. In Utah, we have one of the most successful immersion programs in the country, and there is a significant interest in language learning inside our community.
My students are innovative and love to express their creativity producing multimedia samples of what they learn in class.
I love to see how engaged they are in the learning of the language by creating and sharing their productions. For this reason, I thought of providing a podcasting station for them where they can give a free ride to their imagination and share with others.
Can you imagine your homework being the "perfect selfie"? Is going into your classroom with a Lucha Libre mask exciting? Have you considered incorporating into your style mainstream teenagers' fashion elements? Do you want to show off your skills with your community? Well, these are some of the opportunities that my students have in our classrooms. As part of their language learning, they get to explore popular culture topics using the language as a vehicle for their education.
This podcast station will enhance the students' ability to showcase the skills they have learned in class.
They will collaborate with classmates to create, maintain, and explore new ways to acquire their language skills. Podcasts will foster a sense of belonging to a worldwide community building up a foundation for becoming lifelong, global citizens.
