Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow." said Anthony J. D'Angelo. I want to create this opportunity for my students to develop a passion for learning. But I also want to involve my students' parent in this wonderful opportunity.
My elementary school is a Title I campus with a large At-Risk (Economically Disadvantage and English Language Learners) student population.
I am always looking for different ways to engage, excite and motivate my students when learning. My students are in need of learning tools and manipulatives that will help them understand numerous concepts that are taught in Kindergarten. Not only will these important tools and manipulatives support my visual and kinesthetic learners but it will also help my students become successful learners.
My Project
The Spanish take-home learning packs will benefits the students so much because not only is it hands-on and interactive but it involves their parents. I believe that with the help from parents we can achieve so much. The Spanish Storybooks with the CDs and the Spanish Bingo it will engage, excite and motivate my bilingual students to continue to learn and grow. I believe that with these wonderful resources it will create an opportunity for my bilingual students to reach their full potential! Kindergarten is a very important year because this is the year where we are building each child’s educational foundation. Your donation will help my students who are At-Risk reach their full potential.
I am a dedicated Kindergarten teacher who strives to teach at the best of my abilities every day so that my students will be able to reach their full potential in their academic success.
This project will truly give my students as well as my future students the opportunity to have their parents involved, numerous hands-on activities as well as exciting new ways to learn.
