My students need these three additional Hokki stools in the classroom. We currently have two stools and have to take turns using them. Having more stools would be AWESOME!
This project expired on July 24, 2015.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My classroom is made up of 16 bubbly and energetic 1st graders. We have a fun time learning and moving. Daily we are reading, writing, studying science and history, and solving math problems. We are readying ourselves for the future one step at a time.
My first grade students come from a rural community.
The school they attend has a 77% free and reduce lunch status.
They love to talk and move. Maintaining focus is one of our challenges, so we take many brain breaks throughout the day to help us. With these breaks and the Hokki stools we already have we are able to focus and work hard. We love to play, but we also play to learn.
The three additional Hokki stools from this project will provide my students with access to free movement during instructional and independent work times. My students love being able to use the Hokki stools that we have. I know that the additional stools will make a greater impact on the learning environment in my classroom.
With your help and donations you will make this project a reality.
My students will be able to wiggle around without distracting others. It will also keep me from having to remind them of how to properly sit in their chairs. Lastly, these stools will help the students who struggle with attention and focus by giving them an outlet to move more freely at their desk or reading area.
