My students are extra special! I have a great bunch of happy, interested, motivated kindergarteners who love to learn! They love to move, play, count, write, read and use their imagination. Every day they comet to school with smiles on their faces and are ready to learn! My students come from an urban community where many receive free or reduced lunch. My students are eager and motivated and I want the very best for them both in and out of the classroom.
My Project
My kindergarteners want a classroom that they can wiggle and wobble around as they learn. My students have requested more chances for movement in the classroom. They want to be able to learn in an environment that is healthy and conforms to them! They are always on the move, busy, and looking for more ways to work and be active! My kindergarteners have requested that I do something to help them! I thought Hokki stools that move with them and wobble would be the perfect fit! My students agree!
They think these stools will help them get the wiggles out!
"It's no fun sitting in these hard chairs, other teachers have wobbly stools, can't you get some? Please!"
If they want them and it helps them, I'll get them! Students will work in groups as they wiggle and wobble in their new stools. They will get to use these Hokki stools during stations and instruction time giving them added time during the day to wiggle, wobble and move as they work. This will add to our brain break time with students being able to move all through the day especially during station time. So it will add up to get them moving an additional 60 minutes each day and working together on their new stools!
My kindergarteners can't wait to wiggle and jiggle in their stools as they read, write, listen, count and learn in a happy and healthy environment! Help us shake our wiggles out!
