My students need interactive literacy smart board games to increase student engagement. We need card stock and laminating paper to make differentiated workstations.

My Students

We pride ourselves on being a "school family" in our classroom. We motivate each other, work together, problem solve, and look out for one another. This makes our classroom a safe place to cooperate and learn!

Our school is in an urban area with a high military population.

We have approximately 400 students who LOVE to learn and a staff that loves their students and will do whatever is necessary to help students succeed. In years past, test scores have been very low, which has given us a "priority school" label. I am proud to say that last year we had immense increases in test scores, and our test scores will be even higher this year!

My Project

With the help of the letter and phonemic awareness interactive smart board activities, my students will be able to get out of their seats and be engaged in their learning. This will help them to become skilled readers. Using the card stock and laminating paper I will be able to create my own differentiated workstations for my students. This will enable me to meet them at their level, and teach to their unique learning styles. Can you believe magnets are part of our science curriculum, but we do not have ANY magnets in our classroom? We are ordering a classroom magnet kit to help us become kindergarten scientists. Science allows students to develop critical thinking skills, which is an important skill to become a lifelong learner!

Your donation will help provide us the necessary tools to teach each student the state curriculum.

Even better than that, it will assist me in making sure that each student is receiving the individualized education that they deserve!
