My students need the stability ball chair to better help them while working on their academics in a small group setting. I am looking to get the stability ball chair's in kid size.
I have a classroom of 12 students. Those 12 remain in my classroom all day, then there are several who come in and out of my room for small group instruction. My classroom is set with 10 boys and 2 girls. They are all great students and people who are all facing some kind of struggle in the education.
My classroom is an Exceptional student Education full time classroom.
This means that all of my students are facing some type of struggle, whether it be they are developmentally delayed, some have speech and language barriers, some have sever behavior problems, some have other medical diagnosis's. What ever the case may be they need a more intense level of instruction and a small environment to thrive in.
My students range from Kindergarten to third grade and all of them are truly wonderful in their own way. Some would think with such a wide age gape there would be even more of struggle however they treat each other like family and are very supportive and loving toward each other especially those who are younger.
My Project
My students and I are in need of the stability ball chair's for many reasons. These chairs will give them many opportunities that they will other wise not have.
Many students have a hard time focusing on their academics due to the need to move and fidget.
I believe this chair will give them the opportunity to do just that. While simultaneously allowing them to focus during small group learning setting. The use of the ball chair will allow my students more of a chance to move while still focusing on academics. Movement is such a vital part of a Childs life yet is limited in todays fast paced learning system. This chair not only allows them the ability to move while working it also allows them to work on other things such as balance and core strength. With the lack of movement and activity in the daily school routine I have some students who require Physical Therapy(PT) services. Having this chair available for my students to use on a daily basis will also help them to fulfill their PT goals all well. Many American children lack core strength. Which in turn leads to bad posture and eventually leading to more severe problems later in life having these chairs helps to force them into a more natural sitting position.
I Believe these chairs would make a great asset to our class room. And with your help they will provide both mental and physical benefits.
