Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work with 20 fourth grade students who have various needs and are placed in one of two inclusion classrooms. They bring many different personalities and learning styles to the classroom and are bright and eager to learn. They want to be challenged and engaged in all subjects. We have three teachers providing hands-on learning experience to the students everyday. The students thrive when instruction is tailored to their needs and interests. They love to learn and will be very successful with the right supports!
My Project
My students are very determined to learn but can be very hyperactive and get distracted easily. The seat cushions and chair bands will help students who move around a lot in their seats. This will allow them to move around but channel their energy so they can also focus on school work at the same time. The noise-canceling headphones will help students block out distracting noises when they need to focus on their work. The pedal machine will allow kids to work out their energy while taking a break or doing work. These tools will help create more focused and determined fourth graders!
