My Students

My first year teaching in this school brings the challenge of turning my classroom into a place students want to be. As my Busy Bees return to our hive this year, they must land on a cold tile floor for reading. Uncomfortable readers are distracted readers!

My classroom is a reading classroom.

Some books I choose for my students, some books students choose for themselves. Books recommended by peers are always preferred. When students share books with each other, they awaken the curiosity within their classmates.

My Project

I want my classroom to be as inviting as possible and I'm excited to request funding for my first project. Having the World Carpet would allow me to offer an enjoyable area for students to relax and buzz into a good book. The World Carpet will also aid in the review of the continents.

Please help me offer my students a warm, cozy reading area!
