My Students

Softball is a sport that not many people can play. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to become a good ball player. My team is made of up 17 girls who come out to practice everyday with the drive to become better ball players. These young woman are from different backgrounds and range from ages 14-18 and they come together to make our team. Some days are easier than others but they still show up and they want to become better.

My Project

Getting this equipment will make a difference in my prayers ability to become stronger hitters. In the past four years, there is only one team that we have been able to beat. A few weeks ago, we played 7 innings, which was the first time in four year that we were not run ruled or run ruled our only win this far. Our players work hard every day to cut down the space that is between them and the other teams. Our equipment is very old, as most of our softballs do not have much if any grip left. These girls deserve to be able to throw and field with balls that are new and help aid them in becoming stronger. If our project wa still funded, we will be able to purchase new balls for fielding, throwing, and hitting. I’m excited to grow this program. But we need newer equipment to help us!
