Each week students come to the library to choose their weekly library books, but we also do more.
They love to explore books and authors using technology! Each student has a school-issued iPad to use. They are in grades kindergarten through six. They are from all economic backgrounds. They love fiction and nonfiction, chapter books and picture books. They use their iPads to look up books, to find information, to create, to communicate and to share.
My Project
Nathan Hale is a graphic novel author and illustrator. His Hazardous Tales series teaches US history in a fun and interesting way. Mr. Hale would come to our school to do presentations for the students. He will talk to and inspire grades kindergarten through sixth.
Mr. Hale will influance our students through his artwork, writing, and sense of humor.
He will make history fun and relevant. He will talk to kids about being and author and illustrator while drawing and giving a history lesson. He will use a projector and microphone to give his presentation to two grades at a time in our school library.
