This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are eager learners who are excited to be getting back to learning in the classroom! In order to do this and still remain safe, it's important to have materials that can be sanitized easily for use in multiple classes. We want students to feel as though they are still having the full school experience without the stress of thinking about sharing materials.
In this new learning adventure, it's important they and their families are able to concentrate on using their home resources to support themselves, however as a school we still want every student to experience the best learning environment possible.
My students will be on the best learning adventure this year as they're studying coding and learning about all the applications and opportunities that learning coding provides!
My Project
These books will be used to create a classroom library to help support student reading, as well as providing alternative resources to read during class time. The "Who was" books are written so that students gain a better understanding of who different people in History were, while keeping the material enjoyable for students to read.
Providing books like these for the classroom is critical so that students can learn from what they're reading, but also find some enjoyment from what they're reading as well.
It is my hope that students will read these books and make independent decisions to continue reading about the material, adding to their knowledge.
