My Project

Students love learning about history! The stories not only inform us about the past, but prepare us for the future. Textbooks can be somewhat dry and are lacking the excitement to really grab our students' interest.

How better to prepare for the future than learning about the past?

Social Studies Weekly is an engaging "newspaper" at a 5th grader's level. My students have LOVED learning about history, especially how it shapes and parallels their lives today. They feel empowered when they have the tools to debate and discuss current events.
