Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are fabulous! I teach 7th grade at a Title I school. Even though we are a Title I school and many of our students are faced with various challenges, they come to school prepared and ready to learn!

My students have a strong academic drive and show eagerness to achieve their highest potential on a daily basis.

Their absences are few to none! Almost 100% of my students are bilingual students. Their level of mastery of the English language varies. I would love to be able to provide them with various tools, resources, and opportunities in order for them to reach mastery of the English language, thus increasing their ability to read, write and speak more fluently, and with greater comprehension, which will help them improve in ALL subject areas.

My goal is to help transform my students into independent, successful and productive members of society that would one day do the same for others.

My Project

My students are faced with not being satisfied with the completion of some of their projects or make anchor charts in color, because my classroom does not have a printer.

I'm only able to provide certain types of mediums to work with, but my students can't quite get the detail they want in their anchor charts or projects.

Often times, they struggle with "nice" handwriting, so being able to provide them with a printer will help them label, create beautiful titles, explanations, and add pictures to their work.

Having students generate their own anchor charts adds meaning to our classroom as well as environmental print.
