Walk into our room and you'll hear keyboards clicking, chat boxes dinging, and YouTube videos playing. Are my students off task? NO! They are using Chromebooks to meet their individual needs, build collaborative skills, and gain the necessary technical knowledge to be successful in the 21st century.

We service a high number of military children, but a higher number of low-income families. Our school consists of approximately 75% of the students receiving free or reduced-price lunch. We also have students who struggle with being homeless in our community.
My Project
I am requesting 4 Chromebooks to build towards a 1:1 initiative in my classroom, which will be used for providing STEM technology into my social studies classroom.
Students will also use online programs and other interactive, engaging websites to supplement and develop key technological skills.
My students will utilize the many features in Google for Education, in addition to numerous other resources. They will use Google Docs to create, edit, and collaborate various writing assignments. In addition, students will be able to access Google Classroom for additional classroom materials. Best of all, students will be creating their own websites, as they integrate STEM learning through coding, and design.
Technology is changing the way we interact with the world.
Nearly every job has a component to it that requires the worker to have effective use of technology. With Chromebooks, I can meet the needs of all innovators in my room.
In addition to the Chrombooks, we are asking for replacement chargers for our current Chromebooks to keep our Chromebooks charged within the classroom.
