My students need costumes to incorporate into their history lessons as well as a trunk for storage so that we can continue to grow our wardrobe.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very unique and full of personality.
They want to be loved and be given the opportunity to show their hidden talents and strengths.
They are used to being let down by the educators in their life. This is the first year most of their teachers have returned back for a second year including myself.
Our district is on free breakfast and lunch for students. Some of our students are impacted by homelessness. As children they are struggling with adult problems such as trying to overcome their hunger or worry about having a stable roof on their head.
My Project
The costumes are for my students so they can go back in time and re-live history!
My students that are impacted by homelessness have so much to worry about they most often times put learning on the back of their needs.
These costumes will allow my students to have some much-needed fun. They will learn history in a way like they have never before.
My students are used to just learning the facts and not being able to truly enjoy the subject of history and all that it has to offer.
My students deserve some much-needed fun, creating good memories and getting the best out of their education.
