Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students often have to pitch in at home and help support their families. They come to school with very limited school supplies and often cannot afford to buy supplies for in school projects (markers, construction paper, colored pencils, etc). Students will use these materials to complete projects in class and not have to worry about purchasing materials on their own.
80% of my students come from low income families.
These classroom supplies will have a positive impact on their learning.
My Project
My students need these basic classroom supplies to ensure that the class runs smoothly. They need things like staplers, tape dispensers, tape, posters, etc just to complete everyday activities in class. The clip boards will allow students to travel around the classroom, especially for kinesthetic activities that allow my students to move around while still learning.
In addition, our classroom needs organization materials such as hanging file folders to organize class work, boxes of tissues for the remainder of the school year, and large poster sheets that will allow students to complete projects and collaborative activities in US and World History class
