My students need to film interviews with historical people in the community. There are so many historical people and we need to connect with them. We need a video camera to record these people before we lose their stories!

We are a transient population of students. I want to connect the students to our area. I want to make every student feel very important to the community. I need a video camera to do this.

Is your community losing valuable people and their stories? So many people in the community have powerful stories. We need to record these stories for future generations. Why not incorporate students with this project? I gives the students a valuable connection to the history and the community. It builds relationships and makes both the interviewee and interviewer feel important, and that feeling will empower.

I want a video camera to start recording these stories. I want my students to invite people from the community to be interviewed. We will use the school library for the interview process. The students will construct questions, research, and led the interview. Each student will be responsible for an interview. This will empower a community that needs to feel important. We will research topics such as Civil Rights Movement, WW2, Korea, and Vietnam to name a few topics.

Help me keep history alive by having our community "say cheese!" in front of a camera. This will connect students to community and empower both. Do n0t miss out on this opportunity to reach two segments of society that are often overlooked.
