Help me give my students Scholastic magazines that will help our students stay on target for learning their NC Social Studies curriculum as well as a few other basic supplies!
Our community has been pushed beyond the limits we thought we could endure. Flood waters have devastated young and old alike. The landscape of our community has changed forever. Homes and farms that once stood proudly against the rural backdrop, now sit in piles by the road, sodden with flood waters that took and never gave back.
We come from a rural school in NC and our resources that were limited are now depleted.
Our school is a K-8 school and provides services for all students. Students are held to a high standard of learning expectations based on the Common Core standards and the Essential standards of NC.
My Project
All of these materials replace items that we lost during the flood caused by Hurrican Florence. Our school received major water damage, and during the subsequent cleanup, these items are gone. Your assistance will make put our class back on top. We are strong. We never give up.
The scholastic magazines help in both areas of study, while the novels help us escape the day-to-day struggle some still go home to.
