My Students

I have the privilege of teaching 560 students ages K-5 in a content-rich school. Our school is unique in the fact that we are located in a low-income/high poverty school district. Our students face challenges both in their home life and at school on a daily basis.

We do not let our location determine the success of our students.

Some students come to school not knowing what a pencil is, but with academically rigorous programs, consistent data analysis, and positively encouraging our students, they are able to succeed. Our teachers are dedicated to helping these students have a brighter future for high school and college despite their economic hardships.

My Project

By implementing the smaller basketball hoops, my students will begin to see themselves as successful players in P.E. We will use this equipment to aid us in the process of becoming more accurate in our shots. As the teacher, I want every student to feel like they have the right equipment and tools to accomplish their goals in P.E . I want all students to be able to have the opportunity to evolve their gross motor skills. With equipment designed for their unique sizes, it makes it a more attainable goal. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
