My Students

I teach modern world history to seventh grade students at the first charter school in our city. My students are inquisitive and eager to learn, and they are highly motivated by technology. They love to make connections between the past and our modern world.

My students enjoy exploring challenging historical events through the use of modern technology.

The content I teach is challenging. I strive to find engaging ways to make it more relevant to my students, including interactive learning experiences, projects, games, music, and visuals.

My Project

The students in my Modern World History class are highly engaged by technology and hands-on learning experiences. The music, lyrics, and visuals in Flocabulary lessons allow students to connect to the concepts we are learning in class in an exciting way. Furthermore, the Flair pens will be used as students apply their learning in project creations. Research shows that students need to be exposed to new vocabulary at least 20 times before they "own" it. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
