My beautiful pre-K students were born as unique learners. The majority of my students have been diagnosed with Autism, which means they think differently then other people. They are capable of great things and they need to be taught in a multi-sensory manner.
If it is not in their hands it is not in their head.
My kids have incredible brains. The children in my class are very hands on, sensory sensitive and tactile. Pre-K children learn by touching, exploring and experimenting , growing and playing.
My Project
Children who are on the autism spectrum are multi-sensory learners. My children learn by doing. The materials that I am asking for will be used to teach concepts. For example, they will gain skills in problem-solving, building and naming shapes by playing with the magnetic shape blocks. The children will learn through play in a structured environment.
If it is not in their hands, it is not in their head.
My children do not learn by being spoken at, they learn by having opportunities to engage in the world around them. My kids can be sensory sensitive and they need sensory experiences to help them not be uncomfortable to stimuli.
