My students need an iPad with a keyboard case to enhance our current curriculum. They are also in need of two additional keyboards to pair with our current iPad devices.
My twenty-five third-grade students are ready to learn. My students come to school daily with a desire to absorb all that they can while in the classroom. They are innovative, collaborative, and ready to learn. They attend a loving and passionate school in Illinois made up of middle-class families. The school building has been undergoing improved wiring and infrastructure in the past school year in order to support an increase in technology. My students are 21st-century learners who crave reading and writing using portable technology devices. However, there is not enough technology in the hands of my students.

My Project
My twenty-five third-grade students are begging for more technology devices to meet the needs of their learning. Our current curriculum allows students to listen to books, complete math assignments, type stories, and complete research online. However, there are not enough devices in my classroom for all students to work independently or in small groups.
My students love to write stories and publish them utilizing their typing skills.
Adding an additional iPad to my class will allow students the ability to read and/or write at one station throughout the day. Donations to this project will improve the availability of technology in my classroom and put the technology into the students' hands. The students will explore, read, and write in a way that will advance their 21st-century learning skills and prepare them for the future.
The pen and paper of our time, an iPad will enable my students to have the flexibility of working anywhere in the room.
Funding this project will place another piece of technology into the hands of my students. The students will gain real world experience reading, writing, and researching. With the addition of the iPad and keyboards, students will have a large collection of online text available to read. My students will also be able to work on group projects collaborating and typing anywhere in the room.
