My students need headphones to use with their Chromebooks and a book display for the books we highlight each week.

My students come into first grade in August raring to learn. They come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences including students from other countries who speak more than one language.
My classroom is part of a high-poverty school, but that doesn't stop my students from trying their best and persevering through difficult times, both inside and outside of the classroom.
They are curious, motivated learners who enjoy showing off what they have learned and what they can do.
My students need headphones to use while they are working on both math and reading on their Chromebooks. Students use Chromebooks daily, and we use programs that they need to hear. When many students are using the computers at one time, they cannot concentrate. Having a set of 15 head phones will provide students with the focus they need to achieve learning goals.
We also need a book display for our classroom, so we can highlight the author or genre of books we are studying each week.
With these tools, students will become more successful through more student-focused work.
