My students need a place to store their projects and folders for choir and math class. We need a projector in our portable classroom so that we can do presentations in choir.
Our middle school was affected by Hurricane Harvey. Our school had about 3 feet of water. We have about 1/3 of our students that are low socio-economic. About 1/2 the students have lost their homes. Our school is currently being repaired and we are sharing a campus with our High School. Our school has lost most of our supplies and resources that help the students be successful.
My students deserve to have a normal school day when their lives at home are still so disruptive.
My Project
The students in my choir and math classes need a place to put their items like choir folders and math activities/lessons for when they are not in the classroom. We do not have lockers in the portable buildings we will be in for the next 1-2 years. The shelves and file cabinets will help with this.
The students in my room play games to help social skills and higher level thinking.
This applies to help them later in life to be able to communicate and problem solve.
The projector will be used to present projects that my choir kids do for class as well as for me to teach lessons from software that we currently have.
