My students are a group of diverse learners. Our classroom is a fun and exciting place to learn and explore because we do many hands-on activities and collaborative projects. They are excited each day to come to school and get to work.
My students love to be challenged and I love to see the amazement and excitement at learning something new or at that "ah-ha" moment.
Our school is a place led by people who value others, their voice and need for choice. I like this to be reflected in my classroom, as well.
My Project
These Chromebooks will allow for about a 3-1 student/device ratio which will enhance their digital literacy and collaboration opportunities. My students will collaborate on google docs, google slides and maybe even google sheets to create projects. They will love being able to work together with their classmates and see the changes their classmates make on a digital project they are on working together. Not only will they be amazed by seeing changes on the screen from their classmates but they will be able to collaborate with students all over the world with the use of the webcam included on the Chromebook! What a fantastic way to learn first hand about other cultures and places around the world and to work with other kids in other schools. They can communicate with children all over and get to know about their cultures and everyday life. The Chromebooks can be used during centers and throughout the day on a variety of hands-on projects! Using these resources will allow the students to increase their critical thinking skills, problem-solving and allow them to get the technology in their hands early on in life so that they can thrive and be successful in a future full of technology.
