Help me give my students a bench grinder and a dehumidifier for their welding class.
This project expired on January 31, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students range in age from 15 to 19, coming from different backgrounds. My school is a Title I school and has many students who are on free and reduced-price lunch. Many of my students work many hours at a job while going to school full time. My students want to be welders and such in the construction and manufacturing field.
My welding students would greatly appreciate equipment and materials to use in the shop while learning this trade.
They are very grateful and hardworking.
My welding students need a bench grinder for the shop. They will use it to grind tungsten for GTAW welding and other tasks. These hard-working high school welding students are not afraid of work and are ready to go into the shop to learn how to work.
My welding students are learning how to be ready for the workforce on day one.
We are a simulated work environment and are very proud of our welding state test scores as well as our welding abilities.
Our welding shop adjoins our classroom and we live in a hot and humid environment. When we open the door to our classroom, the humidity takes over, leaving a sticky residue. A dehumidifier will help to alleviate this problem in our classroom and would be very appreciated.
