Help me give my students the equipment needed to produce our play. The listed items will allow for the students to be properly seen and heard by the audience and to decorate our set!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are passionate, creative and completely devoted to putting on our school's first play production in nearly a decade. The level of enthusiasm during auditions and cast selection brought a new energy to our school's halls. Dozens of students are eager to assist in designing the set, making costumes and helping students learn their lines.
The production will give our students the opportunity to showcase their unique skills and talents to our school, their families, and the community.
Our school is located in Cleveland, Ohio. Nearly 75% of our students are economically disadvantaged.
Our school's Drama Club, student body and staff are beyond thrilled to produce our Spring play! Our students are not afraid to take academic and artistic risks, step outside their comfort zone and place themselves in another's shoes in order to gain critical thinking skills and empathy that will help them inside and outside of the classroom.
My Project
The materials listed will allow for our school to produce this play and many more!
The students will be responsible for building the set, decorating the set, operating the lights and sound- and currently we do not have any of the necessary materials for them to accomplish this, please help us put on a successful production!
If our lights and sound equipment (6Spot LED Lighting System, Microphones and Speaker) is funded, students will be able to learn how to use sound and lighting equipment, building on technological skills that can be used in the real world.
If our set building and decorating supplies (Paint, rugs, crystal standing lamp) are funded, students will have the opportunity to build the set from scratch and use creativity to decorate it uniquely and according to the details given in the play's script.
