Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

When students are directly involved, active, and interested in what they are doing,they will learn. I teach 6th grade Science at a large middle school where there is a large population of students at risk because of poverty.

Our 6th grade Science book is written at a higher reading level than most my students can understand and comprehend. Students are naturally curious about science and want to do well, but they need other ways of learning.

We have the Classroom Jeopardy Game, but with only three remotes. That makes it difficult for 30 students to focus and take part. With the expansion kit, every student will be involved and every student will have a reason to be an active participant.

I can just see it now, with your help, my students will be coming to class saying, "Can we play Jeopardy today?" Instead of entering with a worksheet half filled out or even worse; not done at all because they did not understand. Now, because of your generosity, they will come to class excited about learning Science concepts with a smile.
