High Interest Books to Keep Reading Fun

Help me give my students high interest books to keep them engaged in reading.

My Project

Our school is fortunate enough to have a book vending machine. While it gets used in various ways, the two highest volumes are our student of the month recipients as well as reading month (which is coming up in March!) Each month during the school year, 64 students are chosen as student of the month and can choose a free book from the vending machine. On top of student of the month for March (64 students), we also give out an additional 200 free books through the vending machine to celebrate reading month.

This means we hand out at least 840 books a school year- at no cost to students or families.

We strive to keep the book vending machine stocked with brand new books, thus utilizing opportunities such as DonorsChoose helps our school continue to do so. The books requested are of high interest to our students- especially our boys! I know these books will bring excitement to our students and have them anxious to read.
