My Students

Welcome to our busy library! Over the course of the week, over 500 students come in to learn about research skills, literacy, book fun, tech and so much more! On any given day we might be creating our very own Scranimals, coding a game in SCRATCH, researching ancient civilizations or singing songs about onomotopia! We also read aloud and, of course, check out books!

It’s been a challenging year and a half for everyone, and we want to boost reading excitement in our library with new, high interest graphic novels and series!

My Project

The kids are so happy to be back at school and they are absolutely ravenous for fun and exciting books! Over the course of last year’s book bag program we lost many of our most popular books, especially the first books in a range of series and much loved graphic novels. We would LOVE to restock our library shelves with high interest favorites and also add several new and exciting series to help supercharge the love of reading in our community! Sunnyside kids are book lovers, let’s grow that love!
