High Interest Activities that Highly Motivate Students
Help me give my students fun engaging material to make class lessons and review more engaging and interactive such as a prize wheel, touch lights, and karaoke microphone .
As a teacher at a low income school, my students are often faced with many challenges. Unfortunately, many come to school with a limited supply of items they need to fulfill their educational needs. Yet, despite all of these difficulties, they come to school ready to learn and full of love. They take each challenge with stride and give it their all each day.
How do you learn best?
Chances are this answer varies from person to person. My students’ needs are quite diverse. However, active and hands-on learning is definitely the way to keep them engaged. It is my goal to make a more student-centered learning environment for all my students to better succeed.
My Project
My class is always looking for fun new ways to implement lessons and review material. These items will allow us the chance to have fun engaging lessons. Higher engagement lessons lead to increased learning for ALL students.
Who wouldn't want use a microphone during readers theater, be given the chance to shine during morning meeting, or act as a game show host during a class review?
Many think of a prize wheel to just spin and win. It could be used for a positive behavior reward system, but the options are limitless. You can use it for vocabulary practice, math problems, and higher level reading questions. These items will allow my class to step away from standard textbook learning and to gain the attention of all learners. Who doesn't enjoy learning when you make it fun?
