This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My gentlemen are smart, hardworking and brilliant. Our team consists of multi-level players. Our school is a Title I school, meaning that 100% of our students receive free or reduced-priced lunch. Our school is located in a high-poverty neighborhood. My players work very hard every day. Our team has a 98% attendance rate, which means the students rarely miss school. We value our playing time.
Many of my players come from single-parent homes where I am the only male figure they may see a day.
On our team, we blend our traditions to form strong community ties. In addition, approximately 25% of our students are homeless. Although their personal backgrounds put them at a disadvantage they bring their smiles into the classroom every day.
My Project
Students in our school work very hard to represent our school well. They excel in the classroom because they know it is a privilege to wear the uniform on the baseball field. Our sports equipment needs to be taken care of from the weather and protected from theft. This storage shed will eliminate all these problems and allow our students to excel in our programs. We also need a water reel and water hose as we have to take care of our field. We are also asking for a weeder for the field.
We proudly educate economically disadvantaged children, an array of ethnic background ..
Providing them with a safe athletic after-school program is essential. Even throughout athletic programs, we stress to our students the importance of their education.
