My students are little explorers at heart. They enjoy creating and finding out how objects work. They also enjoy building and making projects throughout the day as well as reading. They have an amazing imagination that they bring to life during free play or large motor activities.
My students will bring a smile to your face by their imagination and creations.
They have made bouncy balls, baggie ice cream, dancing popcorn and many more experiments in the past. They have also grown sunflowers and tomatoes to take home to their families and they truly are passionate about their work. They simply love to learn and take what they learn home with them to share with their families.
My students enjoy to be interactive and music is one of those traits this year that I have noticed about my students. We listen to music throughout the day and use songs to help with transitions.
My students to put it simply enjoy being interactive and engaging.
My Project
Our students need new furniture for their classroom. By providing this reading nook, the center will look more inviting, fun and relaxing all in one. The reading nook has a built in shelf for the books as well as a mat to lay down on. They are currently sitting in their seats or laying down on the circle time area rug. The big book write & wipe holder will allow them to engage with the books and start writing the words in the book. The big books are to help expand their book collection as well. The letter bin will help introduce words by the first letter and get them started with letter recognizing.
The couch and chair set is for their safe place and tablet center.
They are currently using a bean bag that is starting to lose its fluff.
By providing these furniture pieces the students will feel more welcomed and be able to relax in a quiet area.
