My Students

I teach at an alternative program for high school students in the Worcester Public School system. In smaller class settings, students receive specific differentiated instruction catered to their needs to build their skills and prepare for their futures.

Despite immense challenges in their lives, students work tirelessly to complete the necessary requirements and receive their high school diplomas in a timely manner.

We are a tight-knit community brimming with support and compassion, determined to transform students into responsible and contributing members of society.

My Project

Whenever students encounter a new text, they are asked to effectively annotate the reading to develop a deeper understanding. With a projector, I will be able to model good examples of annotating and better develop this skill in my students.

Additionally, a projector will foster more opportunities for students to work more collaboratively and engage with technology more frequently.

Students will be able to utilize online educational tools to create projects and use the projector to display their work to their peers.

A projector in my classroom (and a cart to easily move it) can transform daily lessons and improve literacy among my students!
