Mrs. Call from Florissant MO is requesting books through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need some kid-friendly nonfiction books to read in our classroom.

Being chosen to work in the Ferguson-Florissant School Districts has been one of the best things that has happened to me in my teaching career. These amazing kids have such inquisitive minds and are always trying to soak up as much knowledge as they can.
The students in my classroom are some of the hardest working kids I have ever known.
They show up each day eager to learn and ready to put their best foot forward. They love to learn!
Many of my students don't own books at home. They have shown great interest in nonfiction text this year. Unfortunately, many of the nonfiction books they have access to are either too hard or don't hold their interest.
The series of books that has captured their interests is written in such a way that students don't even realize they are reading nonfiction.
Any time a student shows an interest in learning something new, it is my job to make sure they can soak up as much as possible. These books will be used during our reading and social studies time. My students will be so excited to get their hands on these new books!
