Mrs. Brighty from Toledo OH is requesting computers & tablets through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need Alexa (Echo Dots) to help them be more independent and to have another resource to help answer their questions.

Most of the young men I teach are coming from a high-poverty, inner-city neighborhood. In our school, 100% of our students receive free and reduced lunch.
Every day, my students inspire me with the level of enthusiasm they have for learning and creating new things.
Most of my classroom need comes from a lack of technology and funding for hands-on learning experiences that our young men crave so much. Being in the 21st Century requires that we as teachers engage and teach students using technology, which in turn gives them a multitude of skills they will need in their future.
I work very hard to engage the needs of my students as far as movement, social and emotional development, college and career readiness, and expanding their knowledge of the world. I know the young men I teach can achieve a great deal and I am honored to be a part of their journey!
My students are extremely inquisitive. They are always asking me questions in which sometimes I myself need to do some research to find the answer. With an Echo Dot, my students and I will be able to find the answers out quickly.
With Echo Dot in my classroom, there are many resources and tools that will be helpful to my students.
It will be helpful for small group and independent work. We also enjoy playing review game and with the help of Alexa, I will be able to have my students participate in using the game buttons. I look forward to developing fun and educational games to promote fun in my classroom while my students are learning.
