My Students
My students are a very diverse group. We are made up of boys, girls, African-American, Caucasian, Hispanic, Asian, English Language Learners, hard of hearing and deaf children. We may be different from one another, but we all love learning with and from each other! We are a Title I school with large class sizes and a lack of resources. The majority of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. We also have many military families as part of our school community. Because of our military population and the transient nature of our city, we often have students moving in and out of our school.
My Project
My students will take their morning announcements to the next level with this new studio equipment. My students are excited to work together to share current events with the school and community.
This project will help foster the students' creative and innovative ideas, allowing them to create broadcasts that will showcase their talents.
Connecting with the community, students, and staff will create a better learning environment for all. Communication will improve and students will be recognized for their positive accomplishments.
New studio equipment for students to broadcast the morning news will benefit not only a class of students, but the whole school and community.
